In 2009 I started a new job, and also made a commitment to myself that work would not get in the way of my photography. I forced myself to go out shooting, but it was hard to find inspiration. I’d allowed my creativity to atrophy, and my efforts early in the year were very forced.
Eventually it got easier, and I discovered that I still had a passion for making pictures.
In 2009 I also upgraded to the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and added the EF 24mm-70mm f/2.8L to my collection. I’m not really sure why I upgraded. The 30D was a fine camera and I had not reached the limit of it’s capabilities, as was the case when I went from the Rebel to the 30D. But the 5D sure is cool.
